ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

The Illinois Paralegal Association (IPA) gratefully acknowledges the Illinois Supreme Court for defining and codifying ethical standards for the practice of law for Illinois attorneys. IPA acknowledges the leadership of the Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission for lending expertise in the area of ethical responsibility and the National Federation of Paralegal Associations and the National Association of Legal Assistants for establishing ethical cannons applicable to paralegals. It was the ethical guidelines of these entities that facilitated the composition of the Illinois Code of Paralegal Ethics.
